Art Discovery! – $20

Instructor: Stephanie Buscemi

Grades: K-5


Times: 9:00 am to 11:00 am

Campers will be fully engaged during this live creative arts camp via Google Meets! Each morning will introduce a new subject ranging from mastering the art of a self-portrait to landscape drawings and the art of doodles. Just come ready with paper, coloring materials such as crayons, watercolor paints or markers. Campers will expand their imaginations and have fun!

Clever Coding and Beyond – $20

Instructor: Drew Lockwood

Grades: 4-7


Times: 9:00 am to 11:00 am

A virtual camp for those highly interested in computers and computer programming! Activities will center around badges and challenges on the KidOYO platform. Coding sequences will involve exciting activities such as coding card tricks and juggling! Fun assignments will be posted on Google Classroom. Materials needed: Deck of playing cards, bean bags, tennis balls or any three spheres to juggle with!

Creative Computing – $20

Grades 3-6

Dates: July 13, 15, 16 & 17

Times: 9:00 am to 10:30 am

Who knows what you will discover in this out-of-the-box computer camp? How to work with interactive games, animation, web design, mobile app development, coding challenges and more? Campers will delight in exploring the limits of the digital world–and some amazing new apps and platforms along the way! Our instructors will send out a survey to determine your child’s individual interests–and will come up with a plan of unique technology discovery!

Digital Drawing – $20

Instructor: Carlos Taveras

Grades: 6-8

Dates: July 27-31

Times: 9:00 am to 11:00 am

Learn to transform real life objects into digital art using Google Drawing. From brainstorming concepts to sketching and drawing out ideas, campers will develop the skills and confidence to create a digital masterpiece! Daily activities and challenges will be posted on Google Classroom and other campers will be able to share work on fun Google Meets! Materials needed: copy paper (printer paper), pencil, think black marker.

“Every Hero Has a Story” Book Club – $20

Instructors: Augie Rettino & Jen Washington

Grades: 4-6

Dates: Four Consecutive Mondays (July 13, 20 and 27, August 3)

Times: 11:00 am to 12:30 pm

“We lose ourselves in a good book–and we find ourselves there, too.” Let’s delve into this imaginative world together! This is NOT your average book club. With the extraordinarily creative talents of Mr. Rettino and Mrs. Washington, how could it be? Amazing books will be selected, ones that are easy and carefree–and lend themselves to great discussions AND wild, imaginative activities! Campers will personalize their own page within a Google Classroom website and participate in lively book talks and weekly challenges. Campers will have the choice of two books: Nine Ten or Fish in a Tree. Conducted over four consecutive Mondays, this is one camp your child will look forward to each and every week! Materials Needed: Campers will need to purchase the book selected.

Harry Potter Virtual Camp – $25

Get sorted into houses, learn magic tricks, go on scavenger hunts, practice spells, and create potions using the magic of your device! Enjoy engaging magical activities including live instruction and peer collaboration. Additionally, a self-paced enrichment project will be offered to extend the fun throughout the day. Hogwarts students will receive an owl post with an acceptance letter & a list of supplies as well as a parcel with special items shipped directly from Diagonal Alley!  All campers will receive a fun “Take and Make” kit filled with surprises for the week.

Jedi Academy – $25

Come join us for a ride to a galaxy far, far away! Welcome to the online edition of Jedi Master Armstrong’s training academy for Jedi hopefuls. Jedi applicants will face daily challenges and activities—with a mix of fun STEM activities, arts and crafts, and daily Google Meets to discuss trivia, awesome creatures, and all things related to the best movie and books franchise—in the universe!  Your Jedi Master will provide a “Take and Make” kit for all campers. May the force be with you!


Kindergarten, Here I Come! – $25

Grade: Entering Kindergarten

Times: 9:30 am to 10:30 am

Even though this camp is virtual, there will be PLENTY of opportunities for little ones to get acquainted and make friends! The enthusiastic and creative Diane Young is back and ready to help Harborfields’ youngest students feel comfortable with the idea of entering Kindergarten! It’s a big change—but Miss Diane’s hands-on projects, friendship-building activities, joyful music, and playful games will help the children enjoy themselves, their environment, and each other. This camp will be conducted daily via Zoom.  All campers will receive a fun “Take and Make” kit filled with surprises for the week.


Kindness Club – $20

Instructor: Kristen Santiago

Grades: K-2

Dates: July 27-30

Times: 10:30 am to 11:15 am

You just never know how big of an impact a small gesture of kindness can have on someone else. Scientific studies have shown that kindness has a great number of physical and emotional benefits, and that children require a healthy dose of the warm and fuzzies in order to flourish as healthy, happy, well-rounded individuals. Let’s discover the happiness we can feel when we are kind toward others. Taught by the amazing Mrs. Santiago of WDPS, each day will have a fun kindness challenge on Google Classroom and Mrs. Santiago will conduct Google Meet read-alouds and share stories from the previous day. Materials needed: Personal art supplies such as paper and crayons.

School of Rock – $20

Instructor: Dan Barrett

Grades: 5-9

Dates: 4 Consecutive Thursdays: July 23, July 30, August 6 and August 13

Time: 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm

Journey through time as we rock through the ages! Each week campers will travel back in time through a variety of storytelling, listening to music samples and viewing music videos from the early days of 1950’s Rhythm and Blues through the British Invasion in the 1960’s to the Progressive Rock of the 70s and the birth of MTV in the 1980’s. After each session the campers will be given a list of YouTube/Spotify links to further explore the week’s history. Daily activities and challenges will be posted on Google Classroom.

The Magic of Sketchnotes – $20

Instructor: Carlos Taveras

Grades: 5-8

Dates: July 13-17

Times: 9:00 am to 11:00 am

Something magical happens when you take notes with pictures and words together. It’s time to update your old way of taking notes! Express your ideas using live art, graphic recording, and illustration. Sketchnotes combines graphics with the traditional methods of handwriting, drawing shapes and other visual elements to create your own one-of-a kind notes. Fun activities and Google Meets will take place on Google Classroom. Materials Needed: Dedicated folder with copy paper (printer paper), pencil, ink pens (regular ballpoint pens), and a thin black marker (Sharpie Pens are Great!). Optional: Sketchbook, Zebra Mildliners, highlights, colored pencils.
