HACEF Summer Camp Art Show

Almost every Thursday, campers attending Harborfields Community Educational Foundation (HACEF) arts camps display their projects and artwork for their parents, siblings, and peers. Small Organization, Big Check HACEF makes a large contribution to the Harborfields School District… to benefit the Technology Initiative in our schools! A check for $50,000 was presented at the April 19, 2017 Board of Education meeting to the Harborfields School District by HACEF Vice President, Karin Fey and HACEF Gala Co-chairs, Joyce Johnston and Kelly Walker. This donation was made possible through funds raised at last month’s HACEF’s Mardi Gras Gala and HACEF’s Summer Camp program. You may associate HACEF with our Summer Camp program, but here’s the other side to our organization: This past week, at the last BOE meeting of the school year, HACEF presented a check to the Harborfields School District in the amount of $11,525.19. The trustees of HACEF recently voted to fund grants for the following items: 30 Online Lab Notebooks for the Science Department of HHS, a Chromebook Touch for students with disabilities for the PALS class at WDPS, and a Delta Drill Press, to benefit the Robotics/STEAM program at OMS. “These items will be of great benefit to the…
