What is HACEF? We’re a non-profit Harborfields District organization with the best job in the world: Enhancing the opportunities for the children in our community in creative, innovative ways. How do we do this? First, by offering kids the chance to learn a new skill or invest in a natural talent through our popular HACEF Summer Camp Program and also by making significant contributions to technology, art, science, special education, and other amazing initiatives at Harborfields in the form of grants.
Being able to support the effort to bring the latest in technology and curriculum to our schools—in today’s very competitive world—is a cause we feel very strongly about. HACEF realizes it is important for school districts to keep up with ever-changing technology and latest in curriculum—whether it’s coding and engineering, or art, music or theater—to help keep our students as current as possible in today’s college and career marketplace… and to also help them become wonderful, well-rounded individuals!
To date, HACEF has funded over $210,000 in grants to all four Harborfields schools and $60,000 in scholarships. Contributions have included: Digital Cameras and Printers, Smart Boards, Science Research Equipment, Multi-Media Equipment, Chromebooks, Interactive Computer Resources, Technology for Artwork Display, Tablets for Graphic Arts courses, Character Education, Lego Robotics kits for Science Research and much more.
The Harborfields Alumni and Community Educational Foundation (HACEF) is a not-for-profit 501c(3) corporation established in November 2003.
